Balance Transfer Balance Transfer Mag [Kindle Edition]
Balance Transfer Balance Transfer Mag [Kindle Edition]
I've read this book several times and keep referring back to it. It's about using credit card balance transfers to move credit debt to accounts with a temporary no, low, or at least lower interest rate than from where the debt was transferred. This allows you to pay down your debt faster because more of your payments are going toward eliminating the principal instead of toward interest. Because of the strategies outlined in this book, I have already saved hundreds of dollars. I feel grateful to this author for opening up my eyes to this tool and for broadening my knowledge about credit in general. 1/19/14: I'd like to add 3 comments to my original review: (1) You do have to have self discipline to use this method. The ability to transfer your credit card debt to a place with 0% interest for 18 months may give you a false sense of security and even lead to further debting. Don't go there please! (2) Recent changes to federal law (which came about after this book was written) mean that credit card payments must be applied to the portion of your balance with the highest interest rate first. This is the opposite of how things used to work and is a very positive change for consumers. (3) Credit card companies are constantly changing the terms of their balance transfer offers. Even though this book was written a few years back, the way it encourages you to analysis and manage these offers is still valid and makes this book worth reading.GO TO STORE
